We have decided not to use the idea of a make up table, we have now decided a collage background would be more appropriate. The background was achieve by making an actual collage and scanning the piece in.

Editing

We decided that we wanted to re shoot all the shots that we did the last time we filmed, as we felt the locations needed better lighting. Our new shots are much better and we have now begun to edit them on imovie.

This screen grab is a long shot of the main girl practicing walking in heels. In the left hand corner we have placed a light which made the hallway look much brighter then if we didn't use this equipment.

Today we managed to book out some equipment in the lesson and film the beginning of the video again with different people saying 'I wanna be faster', 'I wanna be better', and 'I want to be stronger'. This went successfully and we are thinking about using these shots to create a split screen effect. We also managed to shoot the scene in which the girl walks through the college with boys staring at her because of her transformation from a tomboy to a girly girl. In our planning folder on the shot list we choose to have the boy she liked also meeting her in college as well as at the Christmas lights. However because we got a lot more material that we liked from today and because it will be difficult to get the male actor into college at a time we are all free, we have decided ( for now) to cut this. Instead we will use the material of the boys staring at her. We have also decided for the performance concept of the video that instead of shooting each shot separately, we will record her performing the whole song from different angles and then edit the material to get the right sections of the song we want. We hope this will save time and minimise confusion. As we were not able to film last week, we have booked out equipment for this Sunday and hope to film all the house scenes as well as the Christmas lights scene. This is the weather forecast for Sunday as we will be filming outside for the Christmas lights.

Katy Perry Official Website.

Since Katy Perry has realesed a new single called 'Fireworks' she has changed her website so that it is focused on this new single. Her previous website was much more girly with soft pale pinks such as the image above where she is sat in pink clouds. This has made it difficult when making our own website because we have focused on making it girly however Katy perry is slowly changing as an artist away from this girly image to a much more mature artist as we can see from her new website above. But we have decided to continue using her previous image for inspiration for our website as we have already stated our audience being teenagers.

Music video insert

During our msic video, the main character will be given different tasks which will slowly guide her into become the girly girl which she wants to be at the end of the music video, so throughout this image will come up on the screen stateing what day it is and the task. We created this by placing the backgrond on photoshop then we used a lipstick brush to create a smdged affet an filmed us writing the word using the mouse. We then uploaded it to imovie where we wil sped it up to that it last 2 seconds.

DEVELOPMENT OF WEBSITE.

After trying to create the image of the the silhouette with the images inside,we realised that this would be challenging to do and we don't feel that it will fully fit with the image of our artist and our music video. We have however come up with a new idea which we feel is more fun, light-hearted and fits with the themes of our music video. We will use a dressing table (linking to the theme of the transformation of the tomboy), as our main aspect with things like make-up, photographs and notes decorating the dressing table and linking to different pages in the website. We decorate a dressing table with these things, take photographs and using photoshop and iweb will edit them for the website.

This is the weather forecast for this Saturday, when we will be doing our second day of filming. We will be shooting a lot of the film again as  we had problems with lighting. This time we will ensure we have the right lighting equipment also we will be more organised as we have experience and what and how not to do it. We hope to film, as well as a lot of the scenes in the home the scene with the Christmas lights. This should go well as it is not foretasted to rain.  However we my need a torch light for this scene as well as a floor lamp for the scenes in the home ( with access to electricity).
